About

Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, I grew up in Harleysville, about 40 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. In my youth, I grew fond of basketball, volleyball, acting, politics, and theme parks. So, in my senior year of high school, I decided to follow my lifelong dream. In my first year at Penn State, I immediately joined the Penn State Theme Park Engineering Group (TPEG), in which I have since become President. It has long been my ultimate dream to work as an mechanical engineer in the an industry based in the human experience - from theme parks to construction. My major, Engineering Science, is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary undergraduate honors degree within the College of Engineering which will allow me to graduate with more credits from several engineering disciplines all while completing a comprehensive thesis. Luckily, this program has allowed me to become knowledgeable in all sides of engineering, which is incredibly beneficial in the dynamic engineering teams of the 21st century. The ESci program has also allowed me to hone my mechanics skills through electives, focusing in on structural mechanics, materials strengths, and mechanical design. Meanwhile, I have been able to work through three minor programs, developing a global perspective on leadership through the mechanical engineering lens. Both my experience in Penn State's wide variety of organizations and my time within my core engineering course load have taught me profound leadership skills I never could have anticipated. In my final year at Penn State, I am planning on continuing these pursuits on campus and in my thesis work in order to improve on and use my skills in preparation for a full time position.
